Question 34: Do you believe the Bible is the complete, inerrant, infallible Word of God?

Answer: YES!!! We believe that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the verbally inspired Word of God and are the final authority for faith, life, and conduct; that they were given without error and preserved without error in the 1611 Authorized Version (King James Version) for the English speaking peoples of this world. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-20)

There are numerous additional passages that help to explain our belief on this issue as well:

Psalm 12:6-7 “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

Isaiah 59:21 “As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.”

Matthew 24:35 “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

Each one of these great passages speak to the purity (infallibility & inherency) and preservation of God’s Holy Word. God is certainly capable of anything, including keeping His Word pure just as He promised to do in the Bible itself.
