Question 42: Do you believe that it is OK to worship other gods (like Buddhists, Muslims, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons, etc.)?

Answer: NO! The god of the Buddhists, Muslims, JWs, Mormons, etc. is not the same God that we worship. If you were to ask any of these religions if Jesus is God, if Jesus has always been God, and if Jesus is the only way to heaven, every one of them would unequivocally say NO! 1 John 4:1-3 gives us the following test: “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. ²Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: ³And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven (John 14:6). Muhammad is not another way, Buddha is not another way, JWs and Mormons also do not profess the eternal Deity of Jesus Christ so they are not another way either. Jesus is the only way and Jehovah God is the only God that is worthy of worship – all other gods and not really gods at all.
