Question 43: What do you believe about abortion?

Answer: Abortion is murder. In the Bible, God refers twenty six times to a child when speaking of the unborn. Nowhere in the Bible is the unborn referred to as “tissue” or a “fetus.” In the Ten Commandments it says “Thou shalt not kill” (Exodus 20:13), therefore the taking of the unborn child is murder. In Exodus 21:22 it says, “If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.”
