Manley Beasley – FAITH IS……Series                   (Messages delivered circa late 1970s)

KEY POINTS FROM HIS MESSAGES:

q       You have to BELIEVE in order to RECEIVE

q       Belief depends on:

-          Relationship established (with Jesus, the Saviour)

-          Fellowship maintained (obedience)

-          Discovering the divine truth of God in your given situation (realizing that spiritual warfare is allowed by God and is beneficial for our growth & dependence upon Him).

q       It’s not the amount of FAITH but it’s the CHOICE of FAITH

q       Refuse to DOUBT.  CHOOSE to TRUST (If I perish, I perish)!

q       FAITH releases God into a given situation to do what He wants to do.

q       Faith/Trust = Acting as so it is so - when it’s not so - in order for it to be so - because God said it was so.

q       Discovering the Truth – Involves seeing it (truth), being persuaded of it, embracing it, confessing it, and seeing God convert Truth into reality.

q       Faith is not a leap into the dark but a leap into the LIGHT.

q       Ask yourself everyday – What am I believing the Lord for NOW?

q       When you have a problem – take the Bible, go to the woods, and stay there until you meet God

q       Proverbs 16:3 – Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

q       Faith is….Your entire life is totally, absolutely, utterly dependent of God.  Your whole weight is on Him; Your whole future’s upon Him; Your whole life’s upon Him; Everything’s upon Him and if He doesn’t come through and keep His Word to you – you’re in trouble.

q       Faith is….A man walking on the brink of disaster and there you are – if He (the Lord) doesn’t come through, you’re in trouble.

q       When you’re having difficulty trusting, REFUSE TO DOUBT.

q       The desires of your heart should be the Will of God (they should be consistent).

q       Faith is discovering what God’s up to and cooperating with Him.

q       When you’re talking to God and He gets silent, it’s not because it’s something wrong with God; it’s because there’s something wrong with what you’re saying and you need to change.  The silence of God has more to say to us than we realize.

q       My NEED is the evidence of God’s SUPPLY.  God’s SUPPLY was there long before my NEED.

q       God’s STANDARD for our well-being:

q       Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

q       Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself in the LORD, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

q       2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.
