At Columbia Road Baptist Church, we still give an old-fashioned public invitation at the close of our worship services.  During the singing of a hymn, you are invited to make your way forward to the altar area at the front of the auditorium where the pastor and counselors are waiting to receive you.  There are 3 ways to become a member of our church

1.) Join our Church by Profession of Faith
Make a public profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour, following His example and command in Scriptural baptism (immersion).

2.) Join our Church by Transfer of Letter
Transfer your letter of membership from another Bible-believing Church of like faith and practice. You do not need to have your letter in hand. Our church clerk will write your former church for your letter.

3.) Join our Church by Statement
If you have been Scripturally baptized, but your membership letter is not obtainable, we will accept you upon your statement of faith.

Additionally,  all prospective members are required to attend a 9-week membership class during the Sunday School hour and be interviewed by the pastor and deacons.  Upon completion of these things, you are considered a member.
