CRBC Sunday School Ministry

I would like to introduce you to one of the best ministries of Columbia Road Baptist Church- our Sunday School.  It takes place every Sunday morning at 9:45 A.M.  The class you go to depends on your age, grade, or even gender. 

Why do we have a Sunday School in our church?  It is within the Sunday School that we groom our leadership.  It also contributes to building a strong foundation for the church.  Our teachers commit to teaching a specific class for at least 50 weeks a year and to also continue to grow in their own spiritual walk with the Lord. We do not seek out teachers every year- only when we need them.  Those who accept this responsibility continue to teach until they feel they can no longer do that which is expected of them.  It is a calling, not just a job.

We have a graded Sunday School that is set up similar to that of a regular school.  On the menu to the left, click on the name of each division to see a description of the classes and a list of the teachers.

What takes place each week in these classes?  The teacher (who has also been through our own Sunday School Teacher’s training class) comes prepared to teach his/her class from the Word of God.  We use the King James version of the Bible as we teach our lessons, and it is a verse-by-verse instruction from a specific passage each week.
